The cost for the University of Georgia International Conflict
Resolution study abroad program
in Ecuador for Maymester 2008 is quite reasonable compared to other
Maymester programs, especially for undergraduate students in the University System of
Georgia and for Georgia residents. A summary of the cost is as follows: For undergraduate students who live and/or study in Georgia: Program Fee: $2,099 Tuition: $1026 for students entering before Fall 2006 or $978 for students entering Fall 2006 or $1128 for those entering in 2007 (HOPE or other financial aid can be used to pay for tuition) Mandatory Technology Fee: $21 For students who are not Georgia residents and do not attend a University System of Georgia school: Program Fee: $2,099 Tuition: $1378 Transient Student Application Fee: $50 Mandatory Technology Fee: $21 TOTAL COST: $3,548 Note: These figures include most expenses once you are in Ecuador (lodging, weekday meals, ground transportation, etc.), as well as tuition and course materials. They DO NOT include airfare, which will probably cost between $550 and $800 from the U.S. This will allow you to arrange your airfare with flexibility according to your needs, using Frequent Flyer miles or deciding to go early/stay late as desired. Any pre-departure expenses such as vaccinations or visa expenses (for certain non-American students), as well as weekend meals when not on organized program trips, souvenirs or travel/entertainment outside the program will be your own responsibility. |
