2008 International Day of Peace Art Contest Gallery
CEMPROC sponsored a children's art contest to celebrate the International Day of Peace on September 21, 2008, which is recognized by the United Nations and is celebrated in more than 200 countries around the world. Entries in two categories (elementary and middle school age) were judged by a panel of distinguished judges, which included President of the CEMPROC Board of Directors Scott Hitch, Forsyth County Schools Business & Community Relations Facilitator Judi Jenkins, and local artist Lori Phillips. First, second, and third place winners were selected in each category, and the attendees of the CEMPROC Taste of Latin America dinner selected a 'People's Choice' winner.
